Tags: NFL Antonio Cromartie Trent Richardson Wrestling Wednesday Pat Summitt

A legend steps down, ScottJax talks Wrestling Wednesday, Unruly fans and the NFL, NFL player is a baby maker, ScottJax goes on a rant, well maybe, and a college football players is classy. All this inside this weeks edition of……

Pat Summitt steps down as head basketball of the lady Vols. During her time at Tennessee she had a NCAA record 1,098 win and 207 loses, 16 regular season SEC championships and 16 SEC Conference Titles and 8 National Titles.

The NFL is going to enforce unruly fans to see a shrink. That’s right go figure. Unruly fans kicked out of the stadium will be required to pass a code-of-conduct exam or they will not be allowed back in for another game. This was an idea from Dr. Ari Novick the man behind it all.

File this in “Maybe he outta be neutered” folder.

When is enough-is-enough? Antonio Cromartie, New York Jets cornerback, is trying to create his own defensive team as he now has 10 kids from eight women located in six states. The 27-year-old and his second wife, Terricka, had their second child joining his other sibling from the couple as well as eight-half siblings from flings that Antonio had. The other children are located in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey.

He pays more than $3,500 a month to each child’s mother except Rosemita Pierre, who Cromartie has custody of their son. They have a bitter relationship where she has rights to call her son 3 times a week but Antonio does not pick up the phone.

Antonio better make a lot of money and save it because I see a major problem when he retires and can’t pay child support.

In the Classiest act of the year, Trent Richardson was an escort to cancer survivor Courtney Alvis senior prom.

Does it matter what a coach does on his off-time if he is not breaking any rules?

New England has the easiest schedule in the NFL. How could that be?

If you’re an NFL General Manager, and your ready to select your first pick, do you chose for need or best available player?

Jacksonville Jaguars slogan for the this year is “All in.” It was started by our new owner Mr. Shad Khan. The question I have is, did anyone tell that to Maurice Jones-Drew? He is the star of our team and yet he did not show up for voluntary practice. I know its voluntary, but the team has a new coach and offensive coordinator. I know MJD got married a couple of weeks ago, he could have taken his new bride with him to Jacksonville.

In baseball, it’s too early to start worrying about your team. Oh, okay, Cub fans its time to panic, same for the Astro’s.

Nasty hits during NHL playoffs. There is more action this year than in past years.

I have not been posted much on wrestling lately. I have a lot of things written to post I just am building more stuff. The trivia didn’t go over to well, so I am scared to post more. Will try another time with the trivia, I will make it easier.

Bella twins are leaving at the end of the month. They want to do something else.

Rumor has it that Batista and Bobby Lashley want back in the WWE.

Brock Lesnar has a special deal with the WWE that allows him to have advertising on his shirt.

ScottJax worried about getting fired?? Nice scenery at Florida‘s Orange and Blue Game?? Blake Griffin getting his way?? All this and more in this weeks edition of…

Random Thoughts

Did Stan have a bad case of Howard??

Okay Gabbers. Who really spilled the beans about Orlando’s coach Stan Van Gundy? Does anyone think that Dwight would go to management and ask for the coach to be fired? Oh yeah, I do. But then I think Howard is doing everything he can, on and off the court, to get the coach fire this season or Stan does not finish his contract which expires at the end of next season. Notice I have ON bigger and badder than the other words. Watch his actions on the court. Yes he has good games, but he can cause the team to lose too with lax play on the court.

This all could have been easily taken care of if the Magic would have traded Howard before the trading deadline. I don’t care who the coach is next year, Dwight will be gone. He will force Orlando to trade him before the trading deadline next year.

Let me just come out for the record and say if something is suppose to be confidential then it should remain that regardless whether a person popped positive on drugs/steroids or on a test score. The person who leaks this information should be suspended and fined.

Now that I got that off my chest…

Players get a free education. The least they can attempt and try to learn something. There is no excuse for any individual to not know how to do basic math and reading.

LSU should be ashamed and embarrassed that their star defensive back, Morris Claiborne, had a 4 on his Wonderlic test.

Is there are rivalry brewing between Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins and Clippers forward Blake Griffin? First the two shoved each other during a recent game, and it looked like Cousins was trying to elbow Griffin. According to Cousins Blake is an “actor.” DeMarcus believes Griffin was faking which caused Cousin a foul. "I guess the wind from my hand hit him in the eye and I guess he got fouled by the wind," Cousins said. "I'm not sure."

And the Academy Award for the best fake of a foul goes to…..drum rolls please…

I posted this before,

This past Saturday I went to the Florida Gator’s annual Orange and Blue game where the 2nd team (Blue) plays against the 1st team (Orange). There wasn’t anything spectacular on the field, all the action was in the stands. This is what I mean:

This is better than anything that could happen on the field, and is the only reason I go with my friends to the Orange and Blue game. I, as a dedicated Syracuse fan root for the Orange team (which, by-the-way, has lost for the past 5 years) while my friends are die-hard Gator fans and are just watching to see who will stand-out for next season.

Is this the price of fame?

Baylor University’s men and women’s basketball programs make receive NCAA sanctions from an investigation that revealed more than 1,200 phone calls and text messages during a 29-month period. Women’s coach Kim Mulkey and her assistants and Men’s coach Scott Drew and his assistants were involved with the calls and texts.

The men's and women's basketball programs at Baylor University are facing possible NCAA sanctions following an investigation that uncovered more than 1,200 impermissible phone calls and text messages during a 29-month span.

The University has already imposed a number of penalties on their own after the results of an NCAA enforcement staff’s probe which began in 2008 with the recruiting of Baylor mega-star Brittney Griner. They include, lost scholarships, and coaches visits to recruits.

It’s ironic that this all is coming out on the heels of Baylor University’s most successful season in college football and basketball, with their teams winning a combined 80 wins (football 10-3, men’s basketball 30 wins and women’s basketball 40-0), the most in NCAA history.

The NCAA has said Baylor's own penalties will be okay.

This pictures sums up they way Ozzie Guillen feels. Too bad it wasn’t in a Marlins uniform.

In the file this in the “Mouth is faster than the brain” category, Ozzie has the city in Miami in an uproar after his comments in which he expressed admiration for Fidel Castro.

He since has said he felt “guilty and embarrassed.”

“I don't want to make a statement, because I think when you make a statement it's a bunch of crap. I want people to look in my eyes, look in my face and see what's going on, tell them what the deal was.

-- Ozzie Guillen

"I want to make everything clear what's going on. Then people can see me and know what I think, I think it's the proper thing so people can see my eyes and ask every question they want to ask. I want to get the thing over with. I told the Marlins I want to fly (back) as soon as I can, and tomorrow's a day off," Guillen said. "I don't want to (talk about it) in Philadelphia. I want to be in Miami and clear everything up. I want the people there. Whoever feels about it, ask me any questions," he said. "I want you to ask what you ask, because I feel bad? Yes. I feel embarrassed? Yes."

The hardest part, Guillen said, has been apologizing to Cuban-American members of the Marlins' organization. "The saddest part of this was to apologize to (the Marlins' Spanish-language broadcasters) Felo Ramirez and Yiki (Quintana). That was hard. And I did it, face to face. I just talked to (pitcher Jose) Contreras a couple of minutes ago. And Jose was laughing, kinda like, 'Don't worry about it.' But every Cuban-born and Cuban-born family that I know -- they know who I am."

Marlins have suspended the manager for 5 games.

Tags: New Jersey Nets Brooklyn Nets Billy King Tim Tebow New York Jets WrestleMania Tim Duncan Los Angeles Dodgers

ScottJax asks the question no one in the media has asked, or said about Tim Tebow. Will his words cause controversy?? Old Players in the NBA?? WrestleMania hits Random Thoughts?? Brooklyn Nets?? All this and more in this weeks edition of….

Wow, I never thought I get Jacksonville’s own, Tim Tebow, “Tebowing” for me. Thanks Tim. By the way, my son goes to the same Church as Tim and has talked to him on many occasions. He is a nice fellow and when it comes to his “faith” he is the real deal.

The provocative question is later on in the blog

Okay Gabbers. ScottJax has posted his annual WrestleMania predications. They can viewed here:

http://www.yougabsports.com/pt/WrestleMania-XXVIII---ScottJaxs-annual-predictions/blog.htm

Please feel free to give me who you think will win each match.

How would you like to be left out of a game because your old? Well it happen to Tim Duncan. The Spurs were playing their third game in three nights and they gave him the night off. So the official scorer listed Duncan as DND (Did Not Dress) - Old.

A column by Peter Veceey, who says its from multiple sources, is saying that the Nets are targeting Kevin Garnett (restricted free agent), Ryan Anderson (restricted free agent and a player the Nets drafted and then traded away) and Ersan Ilyasova (unrestricted free agent), while renouncing the rights to Kris Humphries. The Nets are saying they want a stronger rebounded to play alongside Brook Lopez.

While Kris Humphries (27 years old) has never been a scoring machine, nor rebounded, since he has been a Net he is averaging a double-double. How many NBA players can say that? He averages 11.9 points a game and 11 rebounds a game. Garnett is on the downside of his career, this year is averaging 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds. He turns 36 in May. Anderson is 23 years old and is averaging 10.1 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game and Ilyasova is 24 years old and is averaging 9.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Any of these players better rebounders than Kris Humphries???

Got to get rid of Billy King, he is going to kill the Nets.

Oh no the trading for Tim Tebow was not a publicity stunt. Then how come the team is had a press conference to introduce a back-up quarterback. There was no coach, owner or players at the conference. Yep they really, really want him.

Jet’s are just starved for attention.

Here is the question that no one, that I have heard or read has mentioned:

An honest question deserves an honest answer

If Tim Tebow was any religion other than a Christian, would he have still gotten this same coverage. NOT!!

Frank McCourt buys the Dodgers, the stadium and surrounding area for $430 million in 2004 and yesterday he sells it for $2.15 billion dollars to a group that includes Magic Johnson and Stan Kasten. Mark Walter, Guggenheim Capital (the main source behind the $$$$) chief executive, will be the controlling owner. Kasten will run the team, while magic will also be involved in some of the day-to-day activities and will be looking to woo free agents.

The Johnson group, largely funded by Guggenheim Capital chief executive officer Mark Walter, agreed to purchase the Dodgers, Dodger Stadium and a 50 percent stake in the parking lots surrounding the ballpark from McCourt for $2.15 billion.

After Frank pays off his ex-wife $131 million and some $579 million in debt, he will taken in over $1.5 billion dollars. On top of that he gets to buy the half the parking area of Dodger Stadium and surrounding area for $150 million dollars.

I got to buy me a team!!

ScottJax says thanks?? Nets suck?? Manning’s original speech?? New Orleans Saints, Denver/Jets?? All this and more in this weeks edition of…..

Kiss our butts, we got Manning!!

Scott would like to thanks all the gabbers for giving me advise on my retirement and for the warm wishes for my health. Believe me, it made me feel great that I am associated with the best group of bloggers/friends in the world!!

Nets trade a first round pick and two players for Gerald Wallace. You waste a first rounder on a declining player. Why, why do I keep rooting for the Nets.

Come to think of it, why did the Nets make Billy King their GM, he ruined the 76ers.

I hope you all took the time to read Peyton Manning’s original parting of the way speech. If not, here is the link:

http://www.yougabsports.com/pt/Peyton-Mannings-Original-parting-of-the-way-speech/blog.htm

I hope you enjoy it.

Well it looks like Peyton signed with the Denver Broncos. The contract, which protects Denver, is as follow:

There is no signing bonus.

Manning will get $18 million guaranteed next season.

Starting in 2013 Peyton must pass a physical before each season to get paid.

For the 2013 and 2014 seasons he will get $20 million.

For the 2015 and 2016 seasons he will get $19 million.

There is an injury waiver in the contract, covering Manning’s neck. If he reinjures the neck during the 2013 season he will not get paid for the 2014 season.

This Pole Vault/Frisbee trick is making the rounds at ESPN. It is number 10 of plays of the day.

I know we have gotten a little political at times, here at the gab, but ponder this???

During the Bush years, it took a barrel of oil to reach $147 for gas here in the States to cost $4 a gallon. Now, today, as to not call out a specific President by name, it takes only $107 a barrel to get to $4 a gallon. Ummm…

Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz, principal Met owners, save themselves financial grief by reaching a deal with a trustee for Bernard Madoff’s fraud victims. The deal saves the owners almost $800 million dollars (they were seeking close to a billion dollars), and basically saves them from having to sell the team. No money has to be paid for at least three years.

Mark Sanchez will now have to look over his shoulders, and not to check his danruff. It will Tebowmania hovering over him. Every time Mark fumbles the ball or throws an interception the fans will be chanting Te-bow, Te-bow. It could get ugly.

NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, slammed the Saints yesterday. Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints head coach, is out for the season without pay, former defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams is indefinitely banned, General Manager Mickey Loomis banned for the first eight regular-season games and assistant coach Joe Vitt is banned for the first six games of the season. The Saints were fined $500,000 and lost their second-round draft pick in 2012 and 2013.

Now that’s sending a message!!

Tags: Lionel Messi Peyton Manning Jacksonville Jaguars Denver Broncos Arizona Cardinals ScottJax New York Knicks

Is ScottJax getting old?? Broncos, Cardinals playoff bound?? Messi greatest soccer player ever?? This and more, in today’s edition of

Had an appointment with my surgeon this past Monday. I have been having some discomfort with my hip. It gets sore when I am at work lifting mail from containers. He says to stop lifting, but I can’t because its my job. Plus, I have been working out 4 days a week. So now he wants me off the weights and swim, or bicycle ride instead. I can use a stationary bike and ride it for 2-30 minutes. I have been contemplating retiring at 62, which would be in 6 years, or wait until I am 66 and 6 months. If I wait longer I won’t have to pay for healthcare out of my retirement because I would get Tricare for life. Plus social security would be another $600 a month more, that’s a lot of money for senior citizens to have. LOL. Oh they worries to have to make about retirement. LOL. Any suggestions???

If this blog is called Random Thoughts, why do I start writing it 3-4 days in advance?? Am I the only one who starts writing their blogs early??

Do you think with the edition of Peyton Manning, the Denver Broncos or Arizona Cardinals are playoff bound?

If Manning goes to the Broncos, does Tebow get traded to the Jaguars?? Fans in Jacksonville wanted Tebow to be drafted by his hometown team, but it didn’t happen. He would have filled the seats at Everbank Stadium. But, this would not have been the same Tebow as these fans are accustom to. I think the Gators of the National Champion era would have given the Jaguars a hell of a fight.

Lionel Messi, considered one of the greatest soccer players, at the age of 23, scored 5 goals in a game. Lionel’s five goals is the first time it has been done in Champions League History. Here is poetry in motion with the great Lionel:

Knicks have lost six in a row. Is this the falls of the team? Is it Lin’s fault? Now that the team is healthy is it a jelling thing? This team is too talented not to make it to the playoffs.
