I did not know this...
When you drink vodka over ice, it can give you kidney failure.
When you drink rum over ice, it can give you liver failure.
When you drink whiskey over ice, it can give you heart problems.
When you drink gin over ice, it can give you brain problems.
Apparently, ice is really bad for you.
Just a little message to my friends!!!

Linda Hogan did something that no wrestler ever did, and that’s take the Hulkster to the cleaners.
Linda and Hulk Hogan’s divorce settlement is making the rounds. It is reported that Linda got more than 70 percent of the couple’s liquid assets ($7.44 million dollars), 40 percent ownership in his various companies, $3 million property settlement, a Mercedes-Benz, a Cadillac Escalade, a Corvette, a Rolls-Royce and various off-road vehicles. All this so Hulk Hogan wouldn’t have to pay her alimony.
If Michael Cole just announces and doesn’t act like an idiot, he has the potential to be very good.
John Morrison leaves the WWE today. His contract expired. When his non-compete clause expires he might join TNA.
This info from WNW, Matt Hardy has been released from jail. Matt’s bond has been reduced from $1 million to $100,000 under the condition he be released and re-enter a treatment center for substance abuse.
How many people really knew that Hornswoggle could talk??
Smackdown is coming to Jacksonville, Fl on December 6th and I don’t think I will be going. It is the third time Smackdown will be here. It it was Raw or a PPV that would be one thing but not another Smackdown.

Welcome to another Wednesday of deep thoughts. There is an old show business saying...the show must go on. As I write this blog, I am laying in a hospital bed in Austin wondering what the hell? I have been having some weird chest pains the past few weeks. Nothing serious, but today I had a very sharp pain. I mentioned this to my boss and since he has had a heart attack, he insisted that I go get it checked out. So, here I am. Everything has checked out with the ticker, but I am still waiting to hear about my gall bladder. Damn it sucks to get old...
I trust that everyone has recovered from the food carnage of food known as Thanksgiving. I have to say that I cannot remember a more enjoyable feast of food or football.

I think that Blake thought that this was a man vs food event.

Food won...
Football fans won too. The three NFL games were very entertaining, unless you were looking for a Cowboy loss. The Lions were hanging with the Pack until Suh stomped the chance for a victory. Dallas managed a last second field goal to knock off the revitalized Dolphins. Okay, so maybe revitalized is not the right word, but they have been playing better. All I know is that any win makes the pecan pie taste that much better! The Raven/49er game was exactly what I expected...a slugfest.. In a game of tough defenses, Baltimore proved be the toughest.

The game that really had us celebrating was the finale to the Longhorn/Aggie rivalry. The Aggies thought that they had the best team, but the Texas defense and special teams stepped up to decide this game. Texas is beginning to play very good defense and is fun to see. Texas may have found their next QB as Case McCoy played almost the entire game and in the final moments managed a signature run to put the Longhorns in position for a win. Great job Case McCoy...so long Aggies. I will miss this game, but I can only wish the Aggies luck in the SEC. Nice job by the Longhorn band at halftime. The LHB scripted a big thanks to the Aggies. The Aggie band formed a big Longhorn then sawed the horns off...figures.
Did you happen to see Jason Witten run over the Cowboy cheerleader?

After the tumble with Witten, Melissa Kellerman tweeted on Friday: "Not hurtin' today, like some of y'all thought I would be! Our TE isn't as tough as he looks... That or I'm WAY tougher than I look. ;)" Suddenly, Melissa's twitter account was gone. It was reported that she was forced to delete the account but now the Cowboys say this did not happen. Is Jerry Jones such a control freak that he would worry about what a cheerleader was saying on her twitter account? Probably. Jerry Jones once said that he would be involved from "socks to jocks"...I guess that now includes cheerleader too? It is time for Jerry Jones to graduate. I look forward to the day that someone else calls the shots in Dallas.

Were you surprised that Valentine was named manager of the Red Sox? I am not sure, but I just did not see Bobby taking over in Boston. I have generally like Valentine and laughed like hell when he wore the shoe black as a mustache to sneak back into the dugout. For Sox fans, I hope he is the right guy for this job.
Finally, Ed Wade is gone in Houston. But, it is too late. All of the decent talent that Houston had is in Philly or scattered around baseball. What does Houston have? A hodge podge of players and an aging El Caballo. Going to the Al is the worst possible thing for the Astros. It will be 10 years before Houston can be competitive again. What a mess.
That is all I have for today, but I will leave you with a bit of Jack Handey to finish your week...
"How come the dove gets to be the peace symbol? How about the pillow? It has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have that dangerous beak."
"I think one way police departments could make some money would be to hold a yard sale of murder weapons. Many people, for example, could probably use a cheap ice pick."
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a few deep thoughts of your own!

I never imagined that when I was starting Tool of the Week back up that so many tools would be overtaken by the Tool Box that is Penn State. It’s like where do we even begin? We could start with the main culprit Jerry Sandusky. This guy starts a charity for his own personal harem of young boys to pick and choose from. Then some of these kids had “sleepovers” at his house in a bedroom in the basement. I’ve asked myself numerous times how it is that his wife or kids never thought that something might be a little suspicious about his desire to “choose” a special boy to garner this extra privilege while others went back to their fatherless homes. Most of whom I discussed this with came up with the same scenario, that the wife was probably in denial, enjoying the life he had built for her as a Penn State coach and how until the word broke that he was a pedophile (alleged pedophile, until you heard his call-in with Bob Costas) they were treated like royalty in college Park.
Another Tool we could talk about is Joe Paterno, we all know how he came to be fired and the school was tipped upside down over his dismissal by a large group of students who obviously have their priorities a bit fucked up when they’re more concerned with their football coach than the victims. Paterno even claimed he should have done more when it was clear the university was turning a blind eye but how long does anyone have to wait to see that nothing has been done, a week, a month or a year? No, something along a cover-up within the “ole Boy network” was at play here. Even the university police don’t’ have any files going back to ’99 when Sandusky reportedly was caught by a mother when her son returned home with wet hair and told her that he had to shower in the locker room with Sandusky. To hear Sandusky tell it he never said to her he wish he were dead even though the phone call was listened in on by authorities yet he managed to walk away without a charge.
The list of Tools is merely touched on here, the list is endless with more undoubtedly to be named as well as victims we’ve yet to hear about. It’s going to get a lot nastier, the civil suits will follow but what Felber and I had discussed was the timeframe we’re looking at before the headlines read “Sandusky Wraps Lips Around the Business End of a Shotgun”! Our over/under is 6 weeks!

30 Well folks, it's Wednesday, and your regularly scheduled broadcast by AFD will not be seen today. Filling in for him, his more crass less class brother IHM.
To start things off, I'd like to explain the absence of my yearly Turkey Bowl Classic this past week. Honestly... there is no competition this year. No matter what some tool did on or off the court/field/rink, NOTHING compares to what men like Jerry Sandusky and now "allegedly" Bernie Fine have been outed for doing in the past month. When it comes to something as serious as child molestation/pedophelia, there is just zero competition. All I'm left with the ability to say is, what kind of fucked up world are we living in today?
As for the situation at Syracuse, I'm really still looking into everything that is already out there and the new things coming out each day... so I'm going to reserve comment until this thing completely unfolds. The only thing I can really say about it at this point is props to the students/fans at Syracuse for making this about what it SHOULD be about... the victims and not the coaches who committed these autrocious acts or helped to cover them up. This entire situation has been handled a LOT better than it was a state over.
Now, on to the sports-related topic that really has me going tonight... Mr. Ndumakong Suh and his "inability to keep his balance". Look, it's bad enough you already have a reputation as being a dirty player in your second NFL season... now you pull this shit? It's bad enough you're grating the guy's facemask against the turf before you even try and get up... but to then stomp the guy's arm while you were supposedly trying to "get your balance"... just cut the shit Suh. Take responsibility for what you did, drop your appeal, do your time and come back and quit doing stupid shit!
It's bad enough you cost your team 7 points and your services for the rest of the football game on Thursday. It may not be what decided that game (Stafford's 3 picks had a LOT to do with that), but it sure as fuck didn't help. But now your team faces two games without your presence in the middle, and against two quality opponents while they sit at 7-4, in a tight NFC playoff race. All because you can't keep your head straight. The more I see and hear from this guy, the more I start to dislike him... and he's on MY team. Hopefully this is a wake-up call for him, and he knocks it the fuck off.
It looks like ESPN's wishes are coming true... the Houston Texans, in the wake of losing both their starting and backup quarterbacks this season, have headed down to the bayou in search of their new starting quarterback. Wait... what the Jake Delhomme... that's not Brett Favre... it's... Jake Delhomme. Man, TJ Yates must really, really suck.
And while I've got this forum, I'd like to throw an apology out there... to Denard Robinson of the University of Michigan. I said he was possibly the worst quarterback in all of college football... that he was more of a running back who threw every once in a while, and usually to the other team. Last Saturday against Ohio State, he looked like a real quarterback. Didn't throw a pick, was accurate, and got it done in the clutch. Props to him and to Michigan for breaking the seven game skid against the Suckeyes.
But the one thing that bothered me about that game was the statement made after the final whistle by whatever tool ABC had in the announce booth, that Michigan had returned to "national relevance" with the win. Really? Beating a .500 team by six points gets you back to national relevance? A team that without a weak non-conference schedule would be UNDER .500? I'll give Michigan credit, they've had a nice turnaround this year, going 10-2 in a year I thought they'd struggle to win 8 games, and winning in impressive fashion over a team like Nebraska.
As for college football... we all know the routine by now. This is the time of year where SEC teams whine and cry about how there should be five of them in the fucking national championship game, or how they deserve to be there more than a team from another conference because the SEC is fucking football jesus. I've said it a million times, and I'll say it a million more, this sport DESPERATELY needs a playoff... and NOW. This year as much as any other is a prime example. LSU is your clear #1, the rest of the pack is pretty much muddled together from #2 down to #12 or so. Honestly, until the NCAA finally bites the bullet and gets a playoff for football, I don't give a damn anymore. It means NOTHING to me. That's right college football, until you do things the right way, you are dead to me. Your stupid crystal football is meaningless in my eyes.
That's it for me this week folks. Thanks as always for reading and for any comments you leave on the way out. Happy Hump Day Gabbers.
