I'll say it again. Fuck Scott Walker and fuck Colin Campbell.
Yeah, you're right Campbell...it does look like Ward wanted to fight. I may appear like I have a hard time letting this one go, and you are right. I guess Campbell is clear to manipulate the rules as he sees fit. How many suspensions this post season? Two. How many automatic suspensions and fines has he overturned? Bottom line is this, and then I will move on; I wish a painful STD on both Walker and Campbell. One that requires many swabs from the umbrella.
Another subject of despise for me right now is Bettman. How this no talent ass clown continues to run this league is beyond anything that I could comprehend. Bettman is working on extending his deal with NBC. NBC? NBC only shows games that include Pittsburgh, Washington, Rangers, Detroit and Colorado. If anyone else has seen a game with any other teams than the ones listed (outside of the playoffs), please correct me. As well, another ownership group has come forward and expressed interest in another NHL team in the Toronto area. Not to confuse this with Balsillies group, as this group is completely different. The group has come forward and stated that they have $900 million in funds to help this happen in time for the 2012-2013 season. $900 million? In this tight economic time? And yet, Bettman probably won't bite.
What my prediction is for this Coyotes situation is this; Bettman will do the exact same thing to Balsillie that he did before. He will sell the team to a lower bidder (just like he did with the Preds), who just happens to be his friend Riesdorf. Riesdorf will make an effort of it for one season, before Bettman approves a transfer of the team to either Las Vegas or Kansas City. I honestly feel that Bettman would much rather toss Jamie Olivers salad than bring another team to Canada. His whole talk about not bailing out on teams in financial trouble is a crock of shit. How much were the Jets in debt? Take a guess...$35 million. Yup...only 35 million. But yet, he was quick to move them given the first opportunity. How much have the Yotes lost in Phoenix? Somewhere in the area of $316 million. But hey, if Bettman relocates the team to Canada, he is basically telling everyone that his expansion into the sun belt didn't work. And we all know his massive ego won't allow that to happen.

So, for those of you that remember, I recently entered a trivia contest on the Canadian Sports Channel show, Hardcore Hockey Talk. I received my prize in the mail, and it was a Sidney Crosby McFarlane Figurine. What the fuck? The trivia contest answer was the Bruins, why send me something from another team? So, I gave it to a friend that is a HUGE Pens fan. I don't want that shit in my house, for more than one reason. First of all,Todd McFarlane ripped off Tony Twist's image for a character in his "Spawn" comic books, to which he ended up having to pay the Twister $15 million in a lost court battle. Secondly, it is the fucking Penguins. No hatred for the Pens, but you know how it is. It's not the Bruins.
A couple of unusual hockey facts:
Ken Baumgartner (former Bruin player and assistant coach) was the lowest draft pick to play more than 500 games. The Bomber was drafted 245th overall in 85 by Buffalo.
On December 30th, 1981, Gretzky set a record for the earliest date for a players 50th goal of the season. Put it this way, that is 50 goals before the All Star Break.
Referee Paul Stewart has a claim to fame that not many other people do. As a forward in the Quebec system, he was called up for some extra protection against Boston. As a result, Paul Stewart fought Terry O'Reilly, Stan Jonathon and Al Secord before the end of the first period. He was ejected from the game and returned 7 years later as an official.
Switching gears here...I believe that Tom Glavine deserved better. After everything that he has done for the Braves, for him to be simply cast aside is insulting. I think that this was a money move by the Braves. How could it not be? The Braves stated that his rehab wasn't coming along as well as it should have been. Could be true, if he hadn't pitched 11 scoreless innings for Class A Rome. Just goes to show you, the world of sports at the end of the day is a business. People are money, and money is money. Just ask Gary Roberts and Dave Andrychuk
