The Freeh Report
Category: FEATURED

Kind of looks like he's considering finding a young boy of his own to see what all the buzz is about, eh?

With the Freeh Report coming out this week, the greatest fears of Penn State fans, alumni, and administration have come true… during the slowest week of sports in the entire fucking year, the spotlight has shined brighter than ever not just on the sexual abuse perpetrated by Jerry Sandusky on the Penn State campus… but also on the cover up perpetrated by Joe Paterno and the “leaders” of the school’s administration.

After reading everything over, there really is no doubt, despite the Paterno family’s objections, that Joe Pa was the guy who led this cover up. What’s worse, the man who conducted this investigation went out of his way to suck the Paterno dick, even after all this information is out, in the statements he made after releasing the report to the media. He spoke of how sad he was that this information would tarnish his legacy… how much respect he has for Joe Paterno… yet in the same report says he is astonished at the callous and shocking disregard for the victims by Penn State administration (which includes Paterno). Excuse the fuck out of me, but how the hell do you respect a man who knowingly aides and abets a child predator just because he doesn’t want any bad PR for his university?

And even these idiots in the media… talking about Paterno’s legacy and the statue at Penn State University. Every former player coming out and talking about what a “man of integrity, of character.” We already knew Matt Millen was a fucking idiot, but he’s had the biggest opportunity to finally be the one to come out and admit maybe Paterno isn’t the man he appeared to be. In fact, maybe he was a coward, an egotistical bag of shit more worried about his legacy and the universities future than the welfare of the children Sandusky was raping. But no, Millen went on national television and continued to defend Paterno… just like he did when all of this broke… just like he will probably do until the day he dies.

The thing that gets me the most is what I keep hearing repeatedly… even from Bobby Bowden for fuck’s sake… that Paterno made “one mistake”. What the fuck are these assholes talking about? He didn’t make one mistake! He made one mistake over and over and over again. And it wasn’t a fucking mistake… this was a blatant effort to conceal and cover up information. This was a conspiracy among every member of the senior leadership at this university to make sure Sandusky would continue to have his kicks, and to make sure Paterno’s “legacy” would not be tarnished.

At least Nike CEO Phil Knight has had the stones to step in and speak out against Paterno’s actions. Hell, they’re pulling Paterno’s name off the Child Development Institute they have, and had named for him. I guess it COULD’VE been worse… they COULD’VE named it after Sandusky.

Obviously I want to see the death penalty here. Hell, when SMU got the death penalty, the biggest reason cited was a “lack of institutional control”. Looking at the evidence here, I’d say there was a pretty fucking big lack of institutional control. But, Penn State pretty much IS east-coast football for the NCAA… when SMU got the death penalty, they were the #3 team in their STATE. We all know the most that will happen is probably a slap on the wrist.

But one aspect of this I would like to attack is one that lies beneath the surface, one that has not been discussed anywhere that I’ve seen. Jerry Sandusky was considered the best defensive football coach in America for many, many years. Yet, during all of that time, I cannot recall for the life of me any teams approaching him and asking him to become their head football coach. Hell, even after he “retired” in 2001, there were ZERO offers… not even from bumble fuck university in eastern Alabama. NOTHING. Let’s compare that to today, if Nick Saban were to fire his top defensive coaches, they MIGHT be unemployed for a week or so… then they’ve got a new job. Yeah, that’s right… the ENTIRE FUCKING NCAA KNEW SOMETHING. It’s not just Penn State’s administration we need to look at here.

The ugliest aspect of all of this is the fact that Paterno and his cronies were willing to disregard the wellbeing of children just to keep their images intact. But, when you look at the fact that Sandusky never got so much as a mention as the “next head coach” at ANY university, it really makes you wonder how many around the sport actually knew what the fuck was going on at Penn State University. So if so many knew, how come none of THEM had the stones to come forward? It’s because college football is just another example of the “good ol’ boys club”… where they all watch out for each other, no matter what atrocities are being committed by others. Anybody, anywhere that knew what the hell was going on with Sandusky and these kids and did nothing about it, in my opinion, is just as guilty as Sandusky is here. What disgusts me more than anything is the fact that these “men” actually think the sport of college football is even bigger, even more important than the welfare of the children Jerry Sandusky was allowed to repeatedly rape and assault.

As for Paterno’s legacy, and his statue, fuck them both. Paterno has no legacy in my opinion… his legacy is one of a man with his back turned, fingers in his ears, yelling “la, la, la, la, la” while kids are raped behind him. He is a spineless, gutless coward… the worst kind of douchebag there is. He preaches all these values, character, integrity, doing the right thing… yet he never walked the walk. He should rot in hell right next to Jerry Sandusky. As for his statue, I stick by my initial statement… knock that piece of shit down and melt it down… sell the scrap metal to help pay these victims.

The saddest part of this entire episode is, that’s what this SHOULD be all about… finding closure for these victims, doing everything under their power to assist them in moving on. But instead, we talk about Paterno’s tarnished legacy… a fucking statue. Hell, the only thing we talk about in regards to the victims is “how much the University stands to lose” in civil suits. I hope the University loses its’ ass from civil suits. But, even if it does… Penn State fan, Penn State alum will be right there, ready to open their checkbook and make sure nothing should befall their beloved university. If you ask me, what better closure can you give the victims than the ability to light the match that burns this piece of shit to the ground? That’s what I do if I’m in charge of everything… clear out the campus, douse everything in gasoline, and let ‘er rip.

That’s all I’ve got for today folks, thanks as always for reading and for any comments you leave on the way out.
