Now that the dust has settled on the Colts releasing Peyton Manning, here is a transcript of the original speech that Peyton Manning was suppose to deliver to the City of Indianapolis:

To the Fans of the Colts, World Wide, I want to thank you for your loyal support to me, my family and my team. It meant a lot to me and I will always cherish the memories here.

When I was drafted by the Colts in 1998, Jim Irsay and I created a relationship which made us more like brothers than employer/employee. With the great drafting of players and selected free agents, I was able to excel on the field. But, I put in an enormous amount of time, on my own, to improve not only myself, but my teammates. I also helped make our offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and head coach look awfully great. With me carrying the team, the Colts reached new heights; Division winners, Conference champs and even winning a Super Bowl, all because of me.

During our time together I raked in $146 million dollars in 14 years. While the money was good I was forced to do numerous commercials for various companies to supplement my income to what I thought I was really worth to the team. Master Card, Direct-TV, Sprint, Oreo, etc. etc. Did you really think I wanted to kick my brother Eli down the halls of the ESPN complex. Okay, you got me there, I did.

I was the reason the Colts moved into the Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008 and got the Super Bowl XLVI, which by-the-way my brother Eli won, this year.

I suppose you think I am upset that Jim isn’t going to pay me my $28 million roster bonus, oh your sweet ass I am! I deserve that and more. It wasn’t the Indianapolis 500 or the Indiana Pacer’s that put this city on the map, nor was it was the wise-ass David Letterman. It was me and my 399 touchdowns, 54,828 yards while throwing only 198 interceptions. Did that old-man Favre thrown less interceptions then me? Nah.

In closing, I hope the Colts rot, with the exception of my former teammates, and to Andrew Luck, I hope you don’t come close to my records.
