Loving The Phillies Win
Category: MLB

I’m sitting here with my vintage 1980 Phillies Cap on. The Maroon(is that still a color is it deep red or Burgundy these days). Yes the Red Sox Cap is hanging in silence behind my closet door as next season Tito will be without Millsy and Theo will be without Jed. However, I’m not writing about the Red Sox. I’m writing about the Phillies one of my two favorite teams in the NL. (for reasons that I have writing over and over at the Three letter blog site).

Yes, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed Cliff Lee making the Yankees look like  a little league team last night. When was the last time somebody went the distance in a World Series game. Josh Beckett did it in 2003 against the Yankees. How about Chase Utley two homers by a left off a left hasn’t been done since 1929 when George Herman Ruth did it.

All in all I think the Phillies made a huge statement last night and sent a loud message to the Yankees. The Phillies have a solid lineup with good pitching and they have just taken home field advantage away. These two teams are the bs=est this season and there is no doubt it will go 7 with hopefully the Phillies on top.

Tonight we have Pedro(whose your daddy) Martinez on the mound I expect him to go about 6.
