Tags: NCAA Notre Dame Everrett Golson NHL Lacrosse The Beeze Cleveland Bob Feller Memorial Day MLB Cleveland Indians Brandon Dawkins

Happy Memorial day! Enjoy your parties...Enjoy your cookouts...Enjoy your parades...And then remember why you're doing these things...

If you see a veteran, say thank you...If you know some one serving now, say thank you.

We've been going through a string of Questions of the Day about the all-time greats of Baseball...When we talked pitcher, no one, except me brought up Bob Feller...

People accept Feller as a great, but he often gets over looked for how great he was...Why? Because on December 9, 1941, two days after Pearl Harbor, Feller enlisted in the Navy...It was as he was hitting the prime of his career...Feller was selected to the American League All-Star Team in each of the four seasons, before he enlisted, with a 93-44 record...He averaged 245 strikeouts per season and 23 complete games...His service time cost him about four seasons...Which would roughly have been another 75 wins...Add that to the 266 he ended his career with...WOW! 3 no-hitters! 36 complete games in the 1946 season...that's 36 complete games in a season...That is something unheard of in my lifetime...

As for his military service...Feller won 8 Battle Stars as an Anti-Aircraft Gunner...And never regretted losing almost 4 years of his baseball prime...Sounds like an All-time great to me!

-Saturday My New York Rangers lost to the Boston Bruins, ending the season for my guys...I'll be rooting for the Bruins to take out Sid the Skid and the rest of the Shittsburgh Penguins...Pens fans feel cocky...Watch it...Boston rolls 4 tough lines...Their 4th line is better then most 3rd lines...The big man on the blue line, Chara gets all the love, but if you paid attention to this past series, you saw McQuaid, Boychuck, and the rookie, Krug are all outstanding D-men....

-I had no intention of writing anything College Football related, but Saturday night Twitter blew up with news that Notre Dame QB Everrett Golson was no longer enrolled at the University...It was then confirmed by ND officials but the reason why was not released...There were rumbles about it being Academic reasons, or code of conduct violations...But nothing for sure...

Then Sunday, Golson released this statement...

" Dear Notre Dame Community,

I have been informed by the University of Notre Dame that due to my poor academic judgment that I have been suspended from the University for the 2013 Fall Term.

I take full responsibility for my poor choices and will do all that is asked of me to regain the trust of my family, friends, teammates, coaches and the entire Notre Dame community.

I chose to attend Notre Dame because of its mission to develop me both on and off the football field.

My parents and the community I grew up in have instilled values in me that have and will continue to allow me to be successful in the future. There have been many lessons learned as I worked to become the starting quarterback at Notre Dame and each was a result of Coach Kelly's belief in me as an athlete and a person.

At this point, I understand how my integrity could be in question but I want to reassure my supporters that through this experience I will return a better student athlete as well as a better individual.

Lastly, I want to thank the University of Notre Dame for the opportunity already granted and also the opportunity going forth to regain my eligibility in the winter of 2014.

Everett Golson "

I know there are plenty of Notre Dame haters out there...Fine...But this right here shows why Notre Dame is an elite University first, and football and everything else comes after...Find me another major program trying to build off of a National Championship game appearance, that had highly tauted (RS)Freshman QB (Gunner Kiel) transfer, that would suspend/boot their starting QB....I doubt you'd find any...

So what's next...Tommy Rees is the front runner...Andrew Hendrix is the more mobile, but has seen limited time...And there is Freshman Malik Zaire who was an early enrollee...Should be interesting...

On the funnier side of this story...Oaks Christian High School junior QB, Brandon Dawkins was out on Twitter trying to get in touch with Coach Brian Kelly to commit...Gotta like an opportunistic kid!

-Saturday morning we had another good baseball practice...Kids are coming along...Now if the rec could get their shit together, and get us schedules and uniforms, that would be great...After the morning practice Little Beeze and I grabbed some coffee and donuts from Dunkin' (coffee wasn't for him)...We picked up Molls and went to the park for a couple hours while my wife and oldest daughter went downtown to check out some of the Captain America 2 filming...The didn't see any stars...Some stunt men, a big shootout scene, and some explosions...

I'm glad Cleveland is getting this little surge to it's economy...But with all the streets and major road closings this filming is causing, on top of all the construction, I'm really glad I don't work downtown...I wonder if this is having a negative effect on the businesses down there...

-If anyone is interested, Monday Duke and Syracuse will play for the NCAA Lacrosse National Championship...who do you have?

-Sunday was the big tradition of the Indy 500...I haven't watched this since I was a kid...But I did see the highlights...I don't call them that, the talking heads on TV do...I don't follow auto racing but a race ending under the caution flag, could be one of the most anti-climactic things ever...Not a highlight at all...Just a letdown...

I hope everyone's weekend has been good to them...Have fun, and remember...

Have a week...

The Beeze.

Tags: NHL NCAA Lacrosse Mothers Day MILF's New York Rangers Washington Capitals Boston Bruins Cleveland Charles Ramsey Asaph Schwapp

I hope all the moms out there had a great Mother's Day...We all know the MILF's did! Mother's Day...Shit, it should be called 'Dad get the kids out of here so Mom can be a lump all day!' I'm kidding, I'm kidding...I love all you moms out their....Especially my wife and my mom...Just remember ladies...Remember the lengths we go to on Mother's Day...Because it seems like when Father's Day rolls around, it gets blown off....Restaurants aren't booked solid for Father's Day...There isn't a big hoopla...A steak and a blow job should be the minimum requirement!

So, any big news stories this week....Oh yeah, THIS big story in the Cleve of course...I wrote that the night it broke...But after that I left the story alone...One of the reasons I left it alone was the Charles Ramsey angle...They guy was an instant media hit...Yes he did the right thing...But I was watching all his interviews, and then I heard his 9-1-1 call...I heard stuff that I expected, like him swearing...You could tell in some of the interviews he was fighting to keep certain words back...But the thing that bothered me was how his story changed in slight details, and how his 9-1-1 call didn't match with some stuff he said...Then there was the interview where he said, "I'm not a hero, I'm the definition of a man."

NOT SO FAST CHUCK...Yeah, you did the right thing...You along with another guy who got no love because he doesn't speak English...But Charles Ramsey has himself a hell of a record...Including 3 convictions for domestic violence and some unpaid child support...So while Charles Ramsey helped Amanda Berry break out of that door, and all of Cleveland is thrilled to have found these 3 young women alive, calling yourself "the definition of a man" is bullshit...Charles Ramsey may have changed his ways, but I don't think he can wear that label.

And right after the story broke people seemed quick to bash the police...Yeah, the 9-1-1 operator was an asshole...I think most people agree on that...And yes, police and the courts should have gone after this Castro bastard harder on stuff in his past...Like maybe when he beat the hell out of his ex-wife, busting up her shoulders, ribs, face, and causing a blood clot on her brain....Oh, and taking their kids and not returning them...Threatening to kill her...Yeah, people should have looked at this guy harder...But you can't blame every cop this...Especially when every time the city is in a budget crunch, they layoff Cops...The system is broken, not the police...

See, this is why I started light, with the MILF crap...because I knew this shit was gonna get heavier...

Well, may as well keep it heavy for a bit longer...Former Notre Dame Fullback, Asaph Schwapp died this past week after a long battle with cancer...He was 26 years old...Too damn young...

-So last week I brought up the NCAA Lacrosse Tourney...So here's what shook out this weekend...UNC beat Lehigh 16-7...Yale beat Penn State 10-7...Notre Dame beat Detroit Mercy 9-7...Denver beat Albany 19-14...Cornell beat Maryland 16-8...Ohio State beat Towson 16-6...Duke beat Loyal (md) 12-11 in double OT...and Syracuse beat Bryant 12-7...Action will pick back up Saturday...

-As for Hockey...The Rangers are killing me...There may not be enough beer in this house to get through Monday night's game 7 with the Capitals...Both teams have held their ground at home...So the Rangers have to break that Monday...Both Goalies have been amazing...5 of the the 6 games were won by won goal...Each goalie has a 1-0 victory...Braden Holtby is becoming an elite goalie right in front of our eyes...He's going toe-to-toe with Lunqvist...And the two superstar goal scores...ALexander Ovechkin, and Rick Nash have been shut down...It's the gritty, role players getting it done...

And Glen Sather looks like a genius for trading Marian Gaborik...Derrick Brassard has flourished with the Rangers, and has been one of their 3 best players in this series...John Moore, the young d-man has stepped right in, and shown he's an elite skater, with great hands, and loads of potential...And Derek Dorsett has played great in this series as well...One thing bothering me, is calling up Chris Krieder and giving him hardly any minutes...They refused to trade him in the Nash deal...He gave them great energy late last season...He has great speed...He's a play maker, and a goal scorer...Your team is struggling to score...He needs to be on the ice Torts!

Sunday night's game ended with some chippieness...Green and Ribero from the Capitals pulled a couple of cocksucker moves late in the game, and when the horn sounded at the end of the game...After the Ranger 1-0 win, the well composed unit let the Caps know they weren't forgetting about it...And the Caps were trying to get in their head for game 7...Monday night's game should be fun...But I'll be sure to have my blood pressure meds and a six-pack sitting next to me...

The Boston Bruins will also be in a game 7 Monday night...Some how they let the Maple Leafs back in, and all the sudden the Leafs are giving them fits....WOW! Who would of thunk it!

Playoff hockey people...Can't beat it!

Have a week...

Tags: NHL NCAA Horse Racing Kentucky Derby The Beeze Little Beeze Kids Lacrosse NCAA Lacrosse Hotties Horses

Did you watch the Kentucky Derby? Would you always watch horse racing if the jockeys looked like this...

Maybe you'd like them to wear something that the wind can blow through....

Saddles are overrated too....

I could post pics of chicks with horses all day...And I could find them doing kinkier stuff too...But I'm just stalling...Yes, stalling....Stalling to say that the best I could do this year with the Kentucky Derby was pick the horse that finished third...

Did I spend too much time studying horses this past week, which has led to my disappointment? Or did I not spend enough time? Listen, I was throwing money down on Orb, (the winner) who ran a great race...He came in as the favorite...The big money wasn't there to be made on him...I took my shots on Revolutionary, Itsmyluckyday, and Java's War....I played with a couple different Trifecta's...But nothing...

In our family bet, Little Beeze said fuck you dad...He put his money on Orb (winner, winner, chicken nugget dinner)...Molls went with her Uncle's pick and took Verrazano (14th place)...My oldest daughter had Revolutionary (3rd place)...I had Itsmyluckyday(15th place)...My wife had Mylute (5th place)...Yeah, studying up did me a whole lot of good...Fucking schooled by them all and their lack of knowledge and nonsensical ways of picking horses...

-I'm also stalling because I don't want to talk about the NHL playoffs...Especially my New York Rangers being down 2-0 to the Washington Capitals...Saturday they lost 1-0 in OT...That's a tough one to take there...I expect Lundqvist to play great...But the way Holtby has played through the first two games is unreal...The next two games at MSG...The Rangers need to take them both, and then play the best of 3...

There is something else that I have been noticing in the NHL playoffs...I noticed it the past few years...The physical play, and chippyness has intensified...The NHL playoffs are always more intense then the regular season...The urgency is always cranked up...And the physical play always seems to go up a notch...But the last few years it seems like it has gone to another level...And this year, there are games where it seems like 'Well it's the playoffs!' is just being used as an excuse for the physical play, chippyness, and penalties, and some players just being total dickheads! (See The Montreal Canadiens/ Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks when looking for major dickheads!)

-Any Lacrosse fans out there? I don't watch Lacrosse on a regular basis, but if I'm flipping around the channels with nothing to do, and there's a college Lacrosse game on, I'll watch it...It's got a bit of a hockey feel to it...So, the NCAA Tournament is about to get underway, so I thought I'd give you the seeding for the tourney...

(1) Syracuse (Big East) vs (16)Bryant (Sunday @7:30)

(8) Penn State vs (9)Yale (Saturday @2:30)

(5) North Carolina vs (12)Lehigh (Saturday @Noon)

(4) Denver vs (13)Albany (Saturday @7:30)

(3) Ohio State vs (14)Towson (Sunday @3:00)

(6) Maryland vs (11)Cornell (Sunday @1:00)

(7) Duke vs (10)Loyola (Sunday @5:15)

(2) Notre Dame vs (15) Detroit (Saturday @5:00)

As a shock to no one, I'll take Notre Dame...And for the record, to show how goofy college sports are, North Carolina is currently the top ranked team in the polls, yet they are the 5th seed...WTF!?!

This will also be the first time since 1971 that Johns Hopkins won't be in the National Tournament...

Last week there was a complaint about there being no new pic of Molls...So with the horse racing theme we started with...Here she is trying on some riding boots that are too big for here....

That's all I have right now...I've been dealing with some other stuff that I'm sure I'll write about soon...Have a week...

Prince’s deal, Tebow hanging with the girls, Super Bowl fun, all this in my weekly edition of:

What a way to cool down!!

I just got ticket to see my first lacrosse game. On February 19, 2012, Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Fl will be hosting the Lacrosse Classic. It will pit #5 Denver versus Ohio State and then Jacksonville University versus Navy. I got great seats for only $20.

Then if I can hold out, I will make a mad dash to Buffalo Wild Wings to see the WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV. I got to get my wrestling fix.

Here is a breakdown of Prince Fielder’s 9-year, $214 million contract:

Fielder will earn $23 million in each of his first two years with Detroit, then will make $24 million annually in the final seven seasons of his $214 million, nine-year contract, according the Associated Press. His contract also includes loads of incentives:

$500,000 if he's the AL MVP, $200,000 if he's second through fifth ,$100,000 if he's sixth through 10th.

$1 million for each MVP

$100,000 if he's an All-Star starter, $50,000 if he's a reserve,

$100,000 if he's a Baseball America or Sporting News postseason All-Star.

$100,000 for a Gold Glove,

$100,000 for a Silver Slugger,

$100,000 for the Hank Aaron Award

$150,000 for league championship series MVP

$200,000 for World Series MVP

Glad the weekend is over. Now its Super Bowl time. I know there are a lot of Patriot fans on this website. But, I'm proud, I’ll admit it, I am a Giant fan. There, I said it.

Go G-Men!!

Okay, my Giants are in the Super Bowl and I have to make a prediction. I think the Giants will beat New England, 28-24. The G-Men will have multiple weapons to choice from, while the Patriots will rely on a passing game that might not get them too far. I do expect it to be a high scoring game.

Did anyone watch the winter x-games. I didn’t think so.

Here’s a Tebow tibit that went under the radar:

On January 18, 2012, Tim Tebow shared a hotel with one of the world’s largest porn conventions while in Las Vegas. He was in the Hard Rock Hotel just outside Las Vegas when this occurred. The Adult Video News (AVN) awards were being held at the Hard Rock. Rumor has it that Tebow spent most of the time in his penthouse suite.

Some parts of this were taken from Fox Sports.

This is the only feel-good story this Super Bowl weekend. It’s about New York Giants LB Mark Herzlich who fought cancer and won.

The 24-year-old tweeted the following when he debarked from the Giants airplane after it landed in Indianapolis:

“2 yrs ago I was told I might never walk again. Just WALKED off plane in Indy to play in The #SuperBowl. #TakeThatSh*tCancer.”

He had Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. The cancer surrounded his entire left femur. If it had spread there would have been a 10 percent survival rate. The doctor at the time said football was over. During chemotherapy Herzlich lifted weights, did cardio and kept himself in shape. When it was time to operate and remove the femur, he said no.

“I had the chemo for two months and then I was supposed to have surgery to remove my femur and take out above and below where the tumor was,” he said. “That’s where — I don’t have a percentage but most people do that. I decided that would give me zero shot at ever playing again, so I wanted to go with the — I wouldn’t say more risky because there’s no data, but the path less traveled — and went with radiation, which is not usually done."

“And I’ve had three or four doctors I saw who said they would absolutely not do radiation on me and not put a rod through my femur because the cancer would spread and I would die within six months,” he said. “I had to trust my doctors and go with my gut. I knew in order to actually be the person I wanted to be again I had to be able to do things like run around and play with my kids in the backyard or play football.”

He a chance and survived.

Duke Lacrosse Accuser Charged with Murder Tags: Duke Lacrosse

The Duke lacrosse players may never get a formal apology from their accuser or Revs' King and Sharpton, but they will take comfort knowing that skank douche bag has had a run-in with the law and this time she isn't the victim, she's the defendant!! It would seem this time around no Reverend's will be coming to her defense, imagine that.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her was charged Monday with murder in the death of her boyfriend.

Crystal Mangum was indicted on a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of larceny. She has been in jail since April 3, when police charged her with assault in the stabbing 46-year-old Reginald Daye. He died after nearly two weeks at a hospital.

An attorney for Mangum and officials in the district attorney's office did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

Mangum falsely accused the lacrosse players of raping her at a 2006 party at which she was hired to perform as a stripper. The case heightened long-standing tensions in Durham about race, class and the privileged status of college athletes.

Prosecutors declined to press charges for the false accusations, but Mangum's bizarre legal troubles have continued.

Last year, she was convicted on misdemeanor charges after setting a fire that nearly torched her home with her three children inside. In a videotaped police interrogation, she told officers she set got into a confrontation with her boyfriend at the time — not Daye — and burned his clothes, smashed his car windshield and threatened to stab him.

Friends said Mangum has never recovered from the stigma brought by the lacrosse case and has been involved in a string of questionable relationships in an attempt to provide stability for her children. Vincent Clark, a friend who co-authored Mangum's self-published memoir, said he hopes people don't rush to judgment — echoing one of the oft-cited lessons of the lacrosse case itself.

Clark said Mangum realizes she has mental health problems.

"I'm sad for her. I hope people realize how difficult it is being her," Clark said.

When Daye's nephew talked to a 911 dispatcher after the stabbing, he referenced the notoriety Mangum still carries.

"It's Crystal Mangum. THE Crystal Mangum," said the nephew, whose name was removed from a publicly-released version of the emergency call. "I told him she was trouble from the damn beginning."
