Syracuse University basketball will retire the jersey of Carmelo Anthony on Feb. 23rd. Number 15, Anthony‘s former number, holds the Cuse records for freshmen with 22.2 points and 10 rebounds a game. Carmelo led Syracuse to the 2002-03 NCAA Championship. He was the Most Outstanding Player at the 2003 Final Four as well as the Big East Rookie of the Year. Over 30,000 tickets have already been sold for the event.

Now there is a report coming from TMZ saying that 73 former players are suing the NFL, saying the league knew about the effects of concussions for 90 years. The plaintiffs claim that "The NFL knew as early as the 1920's of the harmful effects on a player's brain of concussions; however, until June of 2010 they concealed these facts from coaches, trainers, players and the public." TMZ says Mark Duper, Rodney Hampton and Ottis Anderson are some of the players named in the lawsuit.
