Normally this is posted on Thursdays, but I've been feeling like hell, so it's taken all the strength I could muster to get to the laptop and "throw this up"!

You know what to do, no instructions are required at this point. Simply place a name and reason why you've chose who you've nominated you TOTW potential , and the votes will do the rest. Good luck to you and yours. I'm off to th couch so the room will stop spinning.

See you sometime on Saturday with the results of the YGS Tool of the Week!!!

For a long time now I've been using the initials for the NFL to describe it's other moniker, the "National Felony League". Since that time, it's member's have continuously demonstrated that due to their popularity and high salaries they are somehow above the law, and this week Braylon Edwards tested those waters following a stop for tinted windows that led to the officer detecting the odor of alcohol and Edwards subsequent failure of a field sobriety test. I believe that a lot of the problems that players run into have a lot to do with their upbringing, but the teams they play for bear some of the responsibility too, and in this case it's the N.Y. Jets.

It was barely 72 hours after the Jets were called out by the league for the behavior displayed in the locker room towards reporter Inez Sainz that Edwards found himself in the can. But this bad boy behavior is far from limited to Edwards, the entire Jets organization seems to be out of control and unfortunately the job of disciplinarian is Rex Ryan's, however he's too busy mugging for TV camera's to be bothered with miniscule tasks such as keeping his players in check. Ryan's loudmouth rants about "playing like a Jet" are about as demanding as he gets when it comes to keeping his team in line, and this was verified when Ryan declared Edwards active for Sunday, just not a starter. The Player's Union has said as long as Edwards doesn't file a grievance over any type of benching they wouldn't intervene.

Things also could get worse for Edwards, not only has his license been suspended already, but he faces up to a year in jail in Cleveland for violating his probation after his fight last year outside a club, and after the way he exited the Browns don't be surprised if a judge doesn't want to violate his ass and throw him in a cage for 12 months immediately. Then there's the likelihood he'll be fined about $50,000 by the league and suspended once there's an outcome on the DUI. Regardless of how this all pans out, this guy represents the very best of what we look for in a TOOL and since Edwards had a car service that's provided to Jets players for situations just like this at his disposal, yet he chose to drive anyway, he is more than deserving to be the YGS Tool of the Week!!!

Tags: TOTW Cancer

On Thursday, one of our longtime writer's B-dub made the announcement he was leaving because he had recently learned that his younger brother was just diagnosed with cancer. We all hope and pray Brad's brother is able to recover fully, but we also understand he has a fight on his hands. I'm sure it's safe to say that we all know at least one person who has had a form of cancer, this disease hardly discriminates, it hits without much warning and once diagnosed life is never the same again.

Since CANCER was nominated for Tool of the Week, I figured instead of me giving you my two cents on the subject, I'd leave it for you to discuss and comment about, maybe you all can share a story on how Cancer has affected you or a loved one or maybe you have some advise for Brad on things he can do to help his brother, whatever it is you'd like to say being I'm no authority on the subject. My wife is much more qualified to answer questions or talk about of some of the things she's experienced being she's an ER nurse but has also worked oncology, however she's presently working the night shift. I leave it to you Gabber's to carry the conversation about Cancer, the YGS Tool of the Week.

Okay Gabber's, it's time to nominate those TOOLS of the week. You can nominate more than one if you'd like, and as of right now I have no clue who stands out, but I'm sure you won't let me down, so get busy and dig me up some nominees! Tune in Saturday for the next edition of the "YGS Tool of the Week".

With Football season cranking up, baseball season coming near it's second season and camps for the NHL and NBA not far off we're going to be seeing TOTW nominees coming out of the woodwork. This is by far the best time of year for all of you to handpick those who deserve a Plunger in the piehole, or another orifice of your choosing!

With that said, it's up to all of you Gabber's to get those nominee's in, multiple nominations are fine, there's no limit on who you think is deserving. I understand that in just a few days you might come across someone who tops your previous nod and that's fine by me, the more TOOLS the better!

Sorry for the gaff on Nyjer Morgan last week, but that 10 year old going off on a cursing rampage was just too easy, not to mention, anyone who complains about a suicide attempt landing in her car and wanting to know why they picked her car, like it was in the overall plan needs a Plunger as well.

At any rate, let the nominations begin, and check back on Saturday for the next edition of the YGS Tool of the Week!
