Come to think of it, maybe I WILL listen to hip hop...

It's almost as bad as hip hop...

Or rap...

I call that stuff bad poetry...

But these days...

Even to me...

Bad poetry is sounding more enticing...

Because...

Sports talk radio has become more sickening...

And more sickening...

I used to enjoy it...

As I get older...

I am more sickened by it...

Please pass the vomit bag...

I find myself changing the changing stations more regularly...

But then I realized...

The one I’m changing is always the same one...

Starts with an E...

Ends with an N...

Radio overkill...

Over-analyzation...

After three games...

The Angels are 1-2 and I hear...

“Maybe the Angels’ expectations are too high...”

Three games???

Come on...

And then after Yu-know-who pitches one game I hear...

“I know it’s just one game, but...”

And then proceeds to over-analyze why he’s not that good...

And goes back to the “only one game, but” thing...

A couple more times...

Give it up...

You're just talking for the sake of talking...

You're straining to make a point...

To be provocative...

I think I have a bit of expertise here...

I have a degree in Radio and TV from San Diego State...

Spent my first eight years in radio after college...

This is what I found...

When the announcer guy doesn’t have substance...

He gets trivial...

He says things to get a reaction...

To be provocative...

In essence...

When he really should be in another business...

He makes up forced topics...

Or has sports trivia contests...

Snooze alert...

Honestly...

I don’t hear the ridiculousness as much on Fox Sports Radio...

It's becoming a tune out factor...

You are thinking too much...

Don’t think too much...

It’s not that complicated...

One game...

Or three games...

Out of 162...

Way too early...

Quit anticipating...

Quit trying to force a story that’s not there...

It’s not there...

At least not yet...

Please wait...

For another game or two...

Or three or four...

When 95% of the season has yet to be played instead of 98%...

Oh no...

The Angels are 2-4...

Where’s the nearest bridge???

Last place is clinched...

Worst season ever...

Trade, trade, trade...

We should NEVER lose to KC and Minnie...

The sky is falling...

Hopes are too high...

A guy goes in a two game slump and he’s washed up...

No...

It’s called a slump...

Give it time...

He will be fine...

Be patient...

Don’t over-analyze...

The worst are the drones who call in after the game...

No matter the sport...

Post game shows are the worst...

“WE LOST TONIGHT!!!”

"WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

(And even though they won the previous seven games...)

“WE STINK...”

“FIRE THE MANAGER...”

“FIRE THE COACH...”

FIRE, FIRE, FIRE...

They start to sound like the Ohio Players...

Give me a break, Bucko...

Give it a little time before you rush to judgment...

Time...

Yeah...

That’s right...

Give me just a little more time...

Yes, please...

Just a little more time...

Just enough time to switch stations...

Because you are wasting my time...

And the older I get...

The less time I have left...

Or maybe instead of me doing the switching...

Maybe you should do some switching...

To a different career...

Flip burgers...

Oh, no...

I just offended burger flippers...

Of which I used to be one...

Just go write a blog somewhere...

Maybe sportingnews.com will take you...

Sorry for the inside joke to my fellow bloggers...

But it was just too tempting...
