NFL - I just feel incredibly lucky that I took Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in my survivor game earlier in the year. Honestly, how the hell do two of the best teams in the AFC lose to the Chiefs and Raiders of all teams? That's just disgraceful, but it does show that Cincinnati's offense is much better with Cedric Benson. In other news, Brett Favre went off on Seattle's defense (what a surprise), Green Bay has now beat Dallas and San Francisco in back to back weeks coming off a loss to Tampa Bay (yay), New Orleans and Indianapolis remain undefeated (I feel Indy is lucky), Denver now sucks, Cutler threw another interception to cap another Bears loss, and the best game of the day was to see who sucked less (Cleveland vs Detroit, Detroit won).
NHL - The Blackhawks have now won 7 straight. Bryan Bickell scored the loan goal against Vancouver on Sunday while Antti Niemi played lights out and shut out the Canucks in a game Chicago should have honestly lost (they were playing back to back games). This win came off 7-1 and 5-2 wins over Calgary and Edmonton respectively. Even better is that Marian Hossa is expected to make his debut with the Hawks on Wednesday against the Sharks, a team the Hawks beat in OT a week ago. Not to mention that Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith are all still really close to signing extensions.
College Football - Fire Charlie Weis, Fire John Tenuda. I can't stand it anymore. The only two defensive players that ever show up are Kyle McCarthy and Sergio Brown with an occasional glimpse of brightness from Manti Te'o. This team simply can't rely on Jimmy Clausen, Golden Tate, Michael Floyd, and Armando Allen every week. I want Brian Kelly! In other news, can some miracle please happen that allows TCU to get into the National Title game, I believe they are the best team in the nation.
NASCAR - Well, it happened. Mark Martin never really was in contention at Homestead and Johnson ran solidily all day capping off his 4th consecutive championship with a 5th place finish. My thoughts: Fuck Jimmie Johnson. Oh, and NASCAR seriously needs to use better, less boring tracks in the Chase. I believe I could offer them a solution to all the trouble they're encountering, and it would start with MORE FUCKING SHORT TRACK RACES! In other news, Denny Hamlin won the race, not to mention on Saturday in the Nationwide race, he lived up to his word and spun Brad Keselowski. There is certainly a rivalry there no matter how much Keselowski attempts to deny it. There might also be one brewing between Juan Montoya and Tony Stewart. Kyle Busch also won the Nationwide championship (and the Nationwide race).
UFC - The Hunnington Beach Bad Boy, Tito Ortiz lost a split decision to Forrest Griffin in the main event of UFC 106 from Las Vegas. While Griffin's win wasn't as controversial as Randy Couture's at UFC 105, or Lyoto Machida's at UFC 104, UFC President Dana White still acknowledged that the judging has been bad lately, pretty much saying that it was a joke that one judge scored the fight 30-27 for Griffin. The co-main event saw Josh Koscheck submit Anthony "Rumble" Johnson via 2nd Round Read Naked Choke. Koscheck went on to call out #1 contender in welterweight, Dan Hardy after the match. Like it or not, Kos, Hardy deserves that fight more than you, and both of you will lose to GSP. Not to mention I think Jon Fitch deserves a rematch before you considering he will be a rather big favorite over Mike Pierce at UFC 107. Last but not least, one of the last Pride fighters to debut in the UFC was Little Nog, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Little Nog defeated Luiz Cane via 1st Round TKO (punches).
That's all for this time. I'll end on this note - Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving (and let's hope the Packers win).

Let me see, where can I start... Sports has pretty much pissed me off once again this week. But, hey, what else is new?
MLB - I'll get this out of the way quick. The ROTY awards are announced today and in the AL I believe it's between Andrus, Porecello, and Beckham. Being a White Sox fan, I'm obviously pulling for Beckham and hopes he wins it. It's more wide open in the NL with Happ, Coghlan, Hanson, and McCutchen. Now, I feel all 4 are deserving, but I think in the second half of the season, Hanson and Coghlan really turned it on. Happ will probably win, but I'm still pulling for the underdog Coghlan.
NFL - Well, after sucking it up the last few weeks against Minnesota and Tampa Bay, the Packers defeated a surging Dallas Cowboys team. The offensive line still gave up 4 sacks on Rodgers, but they won the damn game, which is all that matters. They got great pressure on Romo, which they didn't do on Favre or Freeman. Woodson and Matthews came up huge defensively in this game and were a huge reason the Packers won after a back-and-forth first half in which only a Mason Crosby field goal was tallied. Here's hoping they can beat San Francisco next week, although this team still allows too many sacks and takes too many stupid penalties. Other things that made me happy in the NFL were the Bengals beating the Steelers and Cutler throwing 5 picks against the 49ers (I hate the Bears). It did piss me off seeing the Patriots squander a lead against the Colts, though. They had the damn game won and blew it.
NHL - The Blackhawks just won 4 straight at home. They really kick ass when they play at the United Center. The game between Colorado was really close and I love seeing those two teams play each other, best games I've witnessed this season. The Hawks also defeated the best team in the league, the San Jose Sharks, coming back to win in OT after being down 3 to 1. Here's hoping they can kick some more ass as they enter a 6 game road trip where they will face Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, San Jose, Anaheim, and Los Angeles. More good news is that rumor has it that Patrick Kane and Johnny Toews will be signed to long-term contracts in about a week, and Hossa is coming back soon as well!
College Football - Well, the Golden Domers lost again, this time to Pittsburgh. Clausen and Tate (and Floyd now that he's back) can't do everything, especially when the offense keeps getting away from the run and the defense just sucks something terrible. I'm with Beeze, I'm calling for the canning of Weis. That fat bastard can go to hell. In other news, fuck the BCS. TCU still being 4th and probably getting shafted from the National Title game when I'm sure they're better than Texas is bullshit. Earth to college football, install a damn Playoff system. At least I got to see Stanford run up the score on USC.
NASCAR - Well, the bastard did it. No, the Chase isn't over, but Jimmie Johnson dominated one of the most boring races I've even seen at Phoenix. Johnson's points lead is now up to 108 points over Mark Martin and he will win automatically if he finishes 25th or better at the finale in Homestead. Please, please, please, let the fucking 48 team blow an engine.
MMA - On Saturday UFC 105 took place. There were some brutal knockouts courtesy of Andre Winner, Dennis Siver, and Alexander Gustafsson. Michael Bisping got back on track with a win over overrated Denis Kang after Bisping got KTFO at UFC 100 courtesy of Dan Henderson. Dan Kelly surprised Mike Swick and earned a Welterweight title shot against GSP (or pretty much the chance to get his ass handed to him by GSP). I'm still steaming over the fact that Randy Couture scored a unanimous victory over Brandon Vera. Couture had Vera in a clinch most of the match, but he failed to do much dirty-boxing while in the clinch. Vera actually landed some effective punches, and 2 quite effective mid-kicks along with a flurry to end round 3. I had Couture winning Rd. 1, Vera winning Rd. 2, and a close Rd. 3 going to Vera because of his effectiveness with kicks not to mention good takedown defense. Vera got screwed, plain and simple. In other MMA news, Brock Lesnar is out for god knows how long. He was diagnosed with mono, and according to Dana White, he is being plagued by other ailments yet to be diagnosed after he collapsed in Canada. I'm pretty sure the UFC is going to have to create an interim title for the heavyweight division with Brock out for what looks like to be a long period of time. Problem is, a good fight was setting up between Cain Velasquez and Antonio Nogueira at UFC 108, but now Big Nog is out with a severe staph infection. That led many to believe that the man who was slated to fight Lesnar at UFC 106, Shane Carwin would fight Velasquez. Unfortunately, that won't be happening either because Carwin has opted to have knee surgery. The match I would like to see would now have to be Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos, but one cannot count out Frank Mir.

NFL - Well, the most hyped up matchup of the week was certainly the return of Favre (and the Vikings) to Lambeau Field to face the Packers. All I can say is fuck Brett Favre. Certain Packer fans can continue to support/cheer him if they want, but I am not one of those Packer fans. Any douche that blames Ted Thompson and company is asinine. I don't care how good a QB was for you, you don't keep a 40 year old QB around when you have a franchise QB like Aaron Rodgers in the waiting, who I absolutely love. If this kid got decent offensive line protection this year, the Packers would be a lot better. Oh, and I don't think it's wrong that I want to see Favre leaving the game on a cart before the end of the season. In other news, the Rams got their first win against the also shitty Lions. God, do both teams suck, but I thought for sure the Rams had the best chance to go 0-16 this season. I've got to say, it looks as if Beeze's Browns may be the worst with only 5 offensive TDs all season. And, hell, Vince Young didn't look too shabby as the QB of the Titans as they also got their first win of the season. We're waiting on you, Tampa Bay. Denver is no longer undefeated, which I expected. Baltimore is better than their record indicated, and Indy squeaked out a win against San Francisco. I keep saying it, New Orleans and New England are the best in the league.
College Football - Notre Dame just dominated Washington State, which I fully expected. Hughes was great filling in for Allen and Clausen keeps his name in the Heisman running for sure. Highlight of the game was right before half when Clausen bombed it about 50 yards to the endzone and Tate jumped over 3 defeders to catch it for a TD. That loss against Michigan keeps looking worse though as the Wolverines just lost to Illinois who have nothing worth mentioning other than Benn. In other news, Texas jumped ahead of Florida. Yay? Pretty much everyone knows it's going to come down to Florida/Alabama vs Texas, how anticlimactic. I'm still cheering for Iowa, TCU, Boise State, and Cincinnati. Please, someone fuck up this title picture...
MLB - Thanks to the luck of the Yankees (what else would they fucking rely on?) in game 4, they now have a 3-1 series lead with Cliff Lee pitching thr 5th game... I think they should have went with J.A. Happ instead of Blanton if they didn't want to use a 3 man rotation. Did I mention how much I hate Steroids Rodriguez? Hell, I hate everyone on the Yankees except Swisher and Melky. Here's hoping for a comeback.
NHL - The NHL's best player, Alex Ovechkin is day-to-day with an undisclosed upper body injury sustained against the Blue Jackets. Ovie leads the league with 24 points and 14 goals. I know it's extremely early in the season, but the best players in the league at this point are Ovechkin followed by Patrick Marleau, Anze Kopitar, and Marian Gaborik. As for my Blackhawks, they're sustaining a good pace still without Johnny Toews and still having to wait 15-30 days for the return of Marian Hossa. They're fresh off a win against the Montreal Canadiens, but coming up they have to face off against Colorado, Phoenix, San Jose, LA, and Toronto. The only game I feel out of those is a sure win is the game against the pitiful Leafs. The 2 against Colorado will be tough, and I'm probably attending the Sharks game since it's Jeremy Roenick heritage night against one of the NHL's best teams.
NASCAR - Jimmie Johnson is a PUSSY. No, he didn't win the race at Talldega, but he was one of about 5 cars who rode around about 30th-35th all day, then he couldn't even make a late race move until guys like Kenseth, Stremme, Mears, Montoya, and more ran out of fuel under caution and had to pit and then a wreck coming to get the white took out a bunch of guys in front of him. He actually finished 6th and gained more ground over Martin and Gordon who were involved in the last lap wreck caused by none other than Brad Keselowski who I feel is becoming a huge menace on the track. By the way, congrats to Jamie McMurray, about time he won a race, especially looking for a ride for 2010.
MMA - The much anticipated match at UFC 107 between Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves is off because Alves got injured in training. This happened after Fitch's opponent at 106 Ricardo Almeida got injured in training. With all the other contending Welterweights fighting at UFC PPVs between UFC 105-109 as well as Fight Night 20 and the TUF 10 Finale, it looks like Mike Pierce will fight Fitch at 107 which I don't possibly see how the hell it helps Fitch get the title shot he deserves... even though he's already lost to GSP. For you MMA fans, or people looking to get into it, check out the November 7th Strikeforce card on CBS featuring the best Heavyweight in MMA, Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers. This could be a huge upset because Rogers has one punch KO power. This card also features LHW champ Gegard Mousasi vs Remeau Sokoudjou in a non-title bout. I take Mousasi easily, and I also take Jake Shields over Jason "Mayhem" Miller in a Middleweight title bout. Another good looking fight on the card in Antonio Silva vs Fabricio Werdum.
