Well it has been a rather interesting week in Tiger town, sweeping the Indians out of Detroit on Miggy's home run in the 10th on Sunday. Splitting with the Yankees no thanks to Benoit getting ripped again in the 8th inning, but oh well now they are heading to Texas with Scherzer, Verlander and Porcello facing the Texas heat. What I found out this past week, was the Lions-Browns was  a sell-out Friday night. WTF, the Lions are selling out Ford Field during the pre-season now? But anyway, with football season starting I thought I would give a shout out to the new owners of the Cleveland Browns. May he bring stability to that once proud organization. In keeping with the spirit of the upcoming NFL season, I am staring at the picture of 3rdStone, this was his favorite time of the year. I thought in honor of Jud I would preview RG3 and his new team the Washington Redskins................

The Redskins' youth movement under Executive Vice President/General Manager Bruce Allen and Executive Vice President/Head Coach Mike Shanahan continues in the duo's third season together in 2012. The team's 90-man training camp roster includes 20 players drafted by Allen  and Shanahan in the last two years alone, including 11 players who saw action as rookies in 2011. A league-leading eight of those 11 rookies started at least one game last season. In addition to adding a strong nine-man draft class in 2012, headlined by No.2 pick Robert Griffin III, the team targeted dynamic, young play makers like wide receiver Pierre Garcon in free agency.

Entering year three of the Allen/Shanahan regime, the roster makeover is nearly complete from the roster they inherited prior  to the 2010 season. Training camp should be interesting with veterans like Rex Grossman and Tim Hightower fighting for roster spots with the likes of Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins, Roy Helu, Jr., and Evan Royster.

What this season has in store for the Redskins is hard to say, with the youth movement continuing in DC. Will they be 5-11, or will RGIII win a few more games with his legs? It is hard to say.......

But one thing is for sure, Jud will be rooting for his Redskins in heaven where they are 16-0 every year and winning Super Bowls........

Thanks for stopping by and as always feel free to leave your thoughts............
