Happy Thursday
I’m spending a few days in Maine with my twelve year old twins( soorry Frag no Sea Dogs this trip). The twelve year old mentality is a curious one as one of there friends dads said where we like that when we were their age? I guess the answer is we were more independent different times. Anyway the wife was up for a couple of days getting entertained with an awesome fire works display shot off from a barge a few hundred yards off the beach. The display was very well done.
The boys have had a ball on the beach swimming in some really cold water ( no sharls this far North sorry Cape Cod)and boggie boarding riding those waves like experts. We have been doing a lot of day trips and discovering the Maine countryside including visiting a farm with alpecas unfortunately we didn't see them it was by appointment only to protect the animals.
Sunday, Morning I got a great price on live Lobsters $2,99 a pound at a local Lobster dealer cooked them up myself the Mrs and my daughter went to town on them with some cold brew it was awesome.

Take Flight Aerial Adventure Park
The highlight was Tuesday morning when the boys got dad to got to an aerial obstacle course where you work your way around a three level course making your way from telephone pole to telephone pole with platforms. The give you a mountain climbing harness a 20 minute safety instruction course and your of going through tight ropes tires and and other obstacles. It was challenging and fun and a bit scary but I did it with the boys and we had a few laughs. I actually slipped off one of the tight ropes but was able to pull myself back up using the instruction from the safety course.
It’s over for the 2012 Boston Red Sox the cause with 52 games left has been simple and No Red Sox Nation it isn’t Bobby Valentine. It has been poor performanaces from key starters in the rotation basically John Lester and Josh Beckett haven’t pitched well. Lester has been better in his last three starts and still can’t buy a win. Beckett has just struggled and he even hung around yesterday but it was the home run derby at Fenway and the Sox fell short once again losing 10-9 to Texas they have lost 7 of 10 including three out of four to the Twins.
There should be some major reworking of the Red Sox in the off season. The team is carrying a huge amount of payroll and may end up paying guys to play elsewhere. Beckett I’m thinking might be dealt but he says he wants to stay. He actually said that the trade talks bothered him. I think they will move him while he has value. I think Jacoby Elsbury maybe on the move as well. I love the way this kid plays as do I like Will Middlebrooks, Cody Ross, and Jarrod Saltalamachia as well. Salty had big shoes to fill replacing the beloved Varitek and I think he has done well,
The Patriots and the Saints play tonight at Gillette they have been practicing together over the past few days. Tom Brady and Drew Brees on the same practice field is just amazing reports say there were 15,000 fans at practice Tuesday.
I head to Gillette tonight as I return from Maine and myself and the littlest Lanz will head to the game. He likes the Saints and wanted to see them. I have no interest in the game, The lil Maine I think was feeling a little left out because he wasn’t in MNaine with his brothers so He and I will have a good time stay a half watch Brady and Brees play a set or two if they get that much action. Anyway , I had to buy the tix with the season ticket package I won’t eat them as many do.

I want this guy and all the NFlL Officials working on Sundays
Finally, the NFL is using replacement Refs. As they argue over peanuts with the refs. Like the officiating or dislike it in the NFL it’s pretty damn good. They don’t get to see 900 hundred replays from a thousand different angles and they end up being right around 98-99% of the time. They are arguing over increased compensation and too maintain the current benefit package which will result in peanuts in relationship to what the league makes. The NFL won’t get the top college guys who can fill in and you probably won’t notice. The some of the major conference officiating coordinators are run by current NFL guys and if they let their guys go on Sunday they won’t have them on Saturday.
I think the NFL has more pressing issues like playrs having legal trouble. Compensate the Refs don’t loss the quality of the product in this case it could make a big difference,
