Happy Monday Gabbers!
The first thing I want to do this week is get that sicko Jerry Sandusky out of my head, so I'm gonna lay down a few thoughts about it before talking about the other stuff I wanted to cover this week. I know this topic has been discussed to death over the past few days, so I'm going to be brief when I talk about it.
The main thing I wanted to say is I'm so thankful that justice was served and the sick creep got what he deserved from a court of law. It's refreshing to know that he's going to pay for what he did to those kids, because I honestly expected him to get off due to a technicality when the reports came out that there was a possibility the police may have coerced some of the victims to provide the information regarding their relationship with Sandusky. I'm just glad the jurors saw through the lawyer speak and were able to come to a concensus and put that sicko in prison for the rest of his worthless life.
Hey Jerry, here's a tip: buy some soap on a rope. You're gonna need it. Actually now that I think of it, don't. You deserve to have your asshole ripped to shreds for the shit you did to those kids. Of course, I'm sure you won't mind showering with the rest of the boys in the cell block, so there's no need to thank us for giving you this privilege Jerry. You've earned it!
Now that I've got that creep off my mind, I have to man up and give LeBron James the apology he deserves. LeBron, I'm sorry that I said you were going to choke. You didn't, and you earned that Finals victory over the Thunder. I'm amazed that you were able to do it without the help of Stern and his cronies (aka the refs), even though there were a few times when it was blatantly obvious that Stern was giving you some help on the court. But, I can't say that you won because of the officiating, because I think you would have still won the title even if the refs called it fair and square.
So LeBron, I'm sorry that I said you were going to choke. I still think you're a self-serving douchenozzle though. That will never change.
My Gamecocks are going for their third straight College World Series title as they are playing in a best of three series with Arizona that will continue tomorrow and Tuesday (if the Cocks can tie the series at 1 tonight). If you're interested in watching the games will air on ESPN/ESPN2/whatever channel ESPN decides at 8:00 EST each night there is a game. It's what I'll be watching, so I invite you to watch too and root for the Gamecocks. They're going to need all the support they can get because Arizona is a really good team and could honestly take this series 2-0 if their pitching can hold up against the Cock's big sticks. (Yes, I did this on purpose - I can't resist a good double entendre.) They simply out played the Cocks last night en route to a 5-1 victory, and if USC wants to pull this one out they've got to simply play better than they did last night or they're going to get swept.
Well that's all I've got this week. Hopefully next week I can talk about the three time College World Series Champion South Carolina Gamecocks. Now that I think of it, that has an awfully nice ring to it.
As always, if you have anything you'd like to add, feel free to add it in the comments section.
Until next Monday...
