So here we are at long last. It has been two weeks since the New England Patriots clinched their berth in the Super Bowl.
I have to say that I’ve really not been paying much attention to all the pregame hype for the last two weeks. There’s really only so much that one can take and I reached my limit the Monday after the conference title games.
Last year, I ended up at a party at a local restaurant with some friends. It was the first year I’d been to a party in nearly 20 years. But I didn’t feel like being at home because normally I would’ve been watching the game with my mom and since her passing it just didn’t feel right.
I don’t know where I’m going to watch today’s game between the Patriots and the Eagles but I’m not going to be surprising anyone when I say that I’ll be pulling for “my” Patriots all the way.
No I don’t think it will be a Patriots blowout. Only the most delusional fans think that way. The Eagles are a tough team and yes I’m worried about how things will go. But In Bill and Tom We Trust, so here’s hoping for a 6th Super Bowl win later this evening.
