As Jim Rome says frequently on his radio show, and we’ll adapt it here: “YouGabSports is like beer – it’s an acquired taste. Give us two weeks.” For the most part we have two new blogs per day (three on Sundays) plus one question of the day, so the rotation is always fresh.
Why do we call ourselves “Adult?” Because this isn’t reality TV, we are a drama-free zone. We encourage folks to speak their mind. We don’t censor, but we also respect each others opinions. Our site is a site where we discuss many topics, but mostly sports. We represent a wide-range of sports: Hockey, Baseball, Football, Basketball, NASCAR are at the top of the list as you might expect, but we do make visits into different places as well: We talk about food, music, and at times media.
Just as a disclaimer: We understand that at times folks won’t like what they read or see, but one hard and fast rule we have here is this: We treat adults like adults. We don’t censure salty language. We realize that this may alienate some folks, but at the same time to those folks who get offended, we say this: there are 15 blogs per week and in general only two or three use “adult” language. We promise there is something for everybody — if you don’t like bad language, fine, but give some of the other bloggers a look-see, you just might enjoy what you read.
One other rule that we have is that we respect ALL opinions. There is bound to be disagreement at times, but we strive to keep it respectful in our dealings with each other.
There will be times that you may be offended by things that are said, we understand and acknowledge that we are not everybody’s cup of tea, but what we do ask is that you take a minute, step back, and understand that everybody has different takes.
Hey, I’m @NateKyng on Twitter and run GOAT Custom Graphics, which is predominately Patriots designs and edits, I also do hype videos which you can find pinned on my twitter (have about 10 vids total). I’ve done custom work for various pages from Boston Blabber to Patriots Die Hard Fans to various official fan clubs for the Pats, and my pages are connected to local sports shows in Boston like Sports Wrap and radio stations like WEEI. You can DM me on Twitter if you wish, and I can direct you to my Facebook page which has the majority of my work, so you can see what I’m capable of. I wanted to make an offer to you, that you perhaps put up a link on your webpage directing to my Facebook page, along with a shout out on Twitter, and in return I will design you a new logo that’s fresh, catches the viewer’s attention and give it a cleaner look. If you’re interested, please DM me on Twitter (you retweeted something I tweeted about the hiring freeze affecting military families).
Hi,
I would love the chance to purchase some advertising space on your website yougabsports.com. I have a few clients that I think would be a great fit for your niche.
Please let me know if this is something you’d like to hear more about and we can take it from there.
Thanks for your time.
